What happens
The Sumbong sa Pangulo platform, launched on 5 August 2025, lists 9,855 flood control projects implemented by the public works department from July 2022 to May 2025. About 64% of all flood control projects lack clear descriptions or are in different locations but share the exact same contract cost. Three projects in Oriental Mindoro had no ongoing construction despite being listed in the 2025 national budget. A P96.5-million project in Bulacan was tagged complete on the Sumbong sa Pangulo website although construction had begun only three weeks earlier.
